    Default The Tennis Thread

Well, Andy Murray has his Quarter Final match tommorow at the French Open.

I think he has a good chance of winning, especially since Nadal got dumped out the other day.

His match will probably start between 2 and 3pm, depending on Safinas match which is up first.

How does everybody think he'll do?
"Celtic is important to me in as much as it's one of the only constants in my life over the years. I have changed and become various things but it is the one constant. Religion, friendships have come and gone, likes and dislikes have come and gone, but Celtic has remained." - Billy Connolly

    You got inside information?

Is it worth a trip to the bookies?

The challenge is still huge on his least favourite surface.

Gonzalez, who hasn't lost a set yet!
    Davedenko, who normally beats Murray
Federer, who I would fancy Murray to beat

He's gained more ranking points on both Nadal and Djokavic already, so it's been a good tournament so far.

I think he might fancy his chances though mate

If he can get past Gonzales, then i think he'll do it.

I hope so. I've been supporting Murray for over a year now and the English media hate him doing so well which makes it all so better.

I like how he doesn't pander to them either.

When asked what major he wanted to win more than any other, he said the US open, they didn't like that

I dont think he cares much for the pimms and strawberry brigade down there, and that's enough for me.

    Mon Andy boy

I don't think he'll be overly worried about that, clay is his least favourite suface, and it's Gonzales' favourite, that being said, he really took Murray apart at times.

As you say metrobhoy, there's always Wimbledon.

Gonzales is meant to be a champ on Clay, so i could see him taking the full tournament now

Del Potro leading Federer by 1 set at the moment.

Soderling made the final by beating Gonzalez in 5 sets.

Well done again to Andy Murray as he cruises into the quarter finals at Queens Club, the tournament before Wimbledon. Nadal is apparently 50/50 to play the tournament this year also meaning Murray would be seeded 2nd.
