    Default Pushy parents

After watching Britain,s got talent for 8 minutes I must say I feel the overwhelming urge to call the cops on these performing children,s parents.

Fair enough it,s fine to want your kids to do well in life and all .But to raise them in suck a manner that all they do is concentrate on the one thing whether it be singing or dancing ,is just child abuse in my book and nothing short of stealing their childhood .

    Sorry about that ,rant over

I agree mate. It is one thing to encourage your child in a hobby they enjoy and it is another to do it to the extent that other aspects of their life are neglected.

Did you ever see the documentary about that wee pageant queen in the states (Jo Bonet ?) who was mysteriously murdered ? Sickening to the stomach. These parents basically turn their 6 year old kids in to wee bints who look like soft porn stars. Disgusting.

I once watched a documentary about child prodigies, it was a boxer a tennis player and two golfers. The parents were extremely encouraging before they'd play, but after a bad performance they were slating the kid, saying things that no parent should ever be saying to a child.

A coach could say "what were you playing at? That was awful" but as a kid you want to impress your parents and have them cheering you on.

My wee niece was like that, my sis and her husband made her go to the ice skating, ballet, swimming, tennis and that's just the ones I can remember, she was getting pushed into all these competitions. She's very intelligent for her age, she turned round and told them one day she didn't enjoy any of it and all she wanted to do was hang around with her grandpa (my dad) So that's what she does and my bro in law has been raging for the last two year about it, he wanted her to be 1st in everything and he just pushed her too hard but he's an arsehole and he supports the harry wraggs so that says it all really.

Government (noun) Latin: Govern (control) Mente (mind) = Mind Control, Have a nice day.

I saw that - They've pulled them out of school as well so they have no interaction with other kids
I'm raising money for the Multiple Sclerosis Trust. Any donations would be really sound and much appreciated!

LOL, we could always make him swim in the sea, with a rare, bloody steak tied to his back. That should knock a couple of secs of the lap times.
