Thread: Daft things your parents do/say...

Default Daft things your parents do/say...

My old fella buys most of his clothes from charity shops even though he's minted, and he recently came home with a pair of cavalry twill trousers that he paid 2.20 for.

He was proudly showing them off to my mum when she told him that they were his own pants that she'd donated to the charity shop the week before.

He's now an utterly broken man.

Any other tales from the forum?

My old man is old skool, St Anthony's in Govan then the shipyards, I can't repeat on the internet without starting a war the things he comes out with innocently but they crack me up. He's a bit Alf Garnet without the temper.

Government (noun) Latin: Govern (control) Mente (mind) = Mind Control, Have a nice day.

i didnt appreciate how great he was until i became an adult, thats when he became not just my dad, but my best friend, we went drinking together, he would take me for lunch, i went to watch the football with him, he said i was his best friend too, sadly he died 2 days after my 18th birthday, he was 44, i was gutted and i still miss him everyday, but the last year we had together was a blast and im so glad i had that time with the roaster!!
