Thread: The Conquest of Bread

  1. #1

    Default The Conquest of Bread

I know we talked about this ages ago; but i have had a book suggested to me which appears to be quite interesting; From the first few chapters i can tell its going to be about politics and the ideology/theory behind it.

a little information on the book

    name: Conquest of the bread

    published by: G. P. Putnam's Sons.

    author: Prince Kropotkin

    published in: 1906

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

right now i shall give no links to where to read the book, but i will say it was highly recommended to me; it is a very old book as you see, so i have no regret in giving you the link to get the book.

just now im looking for atleast 2 other people to read it and discuss it in this thread.. so just give a message in this thread if your interested.

i see this being a decent idea to get a good discussion going, and if all goes well we could do this every two weeks maybe a system like a novel, biography or whatever you choose then a book about celtic..

also -this is where it gets good- all who read the book will write a review with a minimum of 100 words and the winner gets to choose the next book. now this will not only get others to read what you think may or is a good book it will also get your review viewed at..

now if all goes well and we keep this running we could have a downloadable file or internet page somewhere with all the books we have read with a rating and a review.

just soemthing i had in mind so again thanks for all who took the time to read this and if your interested give me a shout : 3inarow_Bhoy@live.com

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

just took it from ct ^^ same applies even if you dont want to review it, would love to read it and discuss it with someone

lol relax buddy, I like the odd book too.

Currently reading Finbar's Hotel. Really good concept for a book, it's all about this hotel and each chapter is the story of a different person staying in the hotel, and they're each wrote by totally different authors. It's cool how they reference each other though, like you'll read chapter 1 about some guy drinking at the bar then in chapter 4 it's telling the story of a female guest who notices him at the bar.

    Worth a read

Right after 5 hours of work *yawn* i've given up.. i was getting ready to reveal this masterpiece.. with me edited the bad punctuation.. i put in pargraphs, pictures, added to his foot notes. and then for the 5th time!! it has said corrupt file..

so I will give out the rough copy with just a contents page, and a new page for each chapter. *please note that some chapters go across two pages so it can be annoying, again i apologise but it was awful to do*

also i have no idea how to load this up so.. any help would be appreciated
