Just after realising, there was a lot of talk about Dundee Utd being motivated as they need a point to qualify for Europe - but that's only if Aberdeen beat Hibs. If Hibs go 2-0 up by halftime then the United players will know that they're pretty much guaranteed a European place....

Mon the Celtic, Dundee United and the Sheep!!!

Can't see it affecting how they play tbh, there not exactly going to lie down to huns if they know that they are through

But they'll try even harder knowing they need the win though.

Aye but if they go into the dressing room and find out Hibs are winning they know they can take the foot off the gas a bit and not go all out.

Reassuring words from Craig Levein L

“But playing for a point is an extremely precarious thing to do.

“And we certainly can’t afford to rely on Hibs doing us a favour at Aberdeen.

“They might be the form team since the split having beaten Hearts and drawn with Celtic and Zombies, but we can’t count on their stopping Aberdeen from winning.

“We need to go after a result which means it doesn’t matter what happens at Pittodrie.”

I don't think it will come into it, they know they need a point to be sure, so will go for that. Im sure Levein as well as Smith won't let them hear the other results.

I think after 45minutes in an atmosphere like that they will be well up for it no matter what the score is at Pittodrie.

    Thought about this myself today.
